State Song I’ll Make Me a World in Iowa’s theme song, written by Waterloo jazz singer Effie Burt was unanimously
adopted by the Iowa Legislature as Iowa’s newest State Song. The song, I’ll Make Me a World in Iowa,
was named after the festival and takes its place in history along side the other state song.
Educational Outreach IMMAWII Educational Outreach involves community libraries, museums, art centers, schools, students and
the general population and includes presentations by African Americans, exhibitions, and collaborations.
